TRIM DAMAGE FRONT SEAT SIDE PANEL (RPL. FOAM CUSHION/TRIM)

SUBJECT: TRIM DAMAGE FRONT SEAT SIDE PANEL (REPLACE FOAM CUSHION AND TRIM) (IF REQUIRED)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992-93 OLDSMOBILE "W" MODEL WITH RPO AN3

CONDITION:

Some 1992-93 Oldsmobile W cars may exhibit stress marks on driver and/or passenger seat back trim side panel.

CAUSE:

Wire within foam bun exerts excessive pressure on foam side panel while sliding into or out of front seats.

CORRECTION:

Replace front seat back foam cushion P/N 16726120 and trim if damaged. Follow procedure in Body Service Manual, Section 10, Page 10-10-8.
