SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT REVISED SYSTEM TESTER CAUTION

MODELS/YEARS: 1989-90 NINETY-EIGHT AND 1988-91 EIGHTY-EIGHT

The CAUTION on page 5 of Section 9J in the 1990 Eighty-Eight/ Ninety-Eight Service Manual as well as the 1991 Eighty-Eight Service Manual has been revised to correct the correspondence of the model year to the appropriate vehicle model. The CAUTION refers to model years 1988-1991. When using J 36884-A refer to the following CAUTION for proper applications.

THE SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM TESTER J 36884A IS A SPECIAL PURPOSE TESTER DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH THE 1989 AND 1990 NINETY-EIGHT AND THE 1988, 1989, 1990, AND 1991 EIGHTY-EIGHT ONLY. THE TESTER IS USED TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT A SPECIFIC PART OR THE ENTIRE SYSTEM IS FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. USE OF OTHER TEST EQUIPMENT COULD RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
