If lateral movement of the inner seat adjuster is experienced, perform the following operations:
1. Remove seat and place on a clean protected surface.
2. Replace inner seat adjuster(s) with new adjuster(s).

3. Install release wire (part no. 20162898) between lock bars.
4. If the adjuster-to-floor attaching stud is loose in the floor, weld the stud (mig or gas with steel rod only) into place using standard body structural components.
5. Install seat to floor and tighten seat adjuster-to-floor pan attaching nuts 20 to 28 N-m (15 to 21 lbs. ft.).
Add .5 hour per side to the published operation number if stud requires welding.
