Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 483127  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch. Refer to

    Engine Controls Components - Bank 1

  4. Remove the engine oil pressure switch.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the engine oil pressure switch. Refer to

  2. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch. Refer to

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
