Throttle Body Heater Inlet Hose Replacement 3.5L V6 LX5

Removal Procedure

    NOTICE: When adding coolant, it is important that you use GM Goodwrench DEX-COOL® or HAVOLINE® DEX-COOL® coolant. If Coolant other than DEX-COOL® or HAVOLINE® DEX-COOL® is added to the system the engine coolant will require change sooner; at 50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.

  1. Remove the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls -3.5L.
  2. Partially drain the engine coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp from the water crossover.
  4. Disconnect the throttle body heater inlet hose form the water crossover.
  5. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp form the throttle body.
  6. Disconnect the throttle body heater inlet hose from the throttle body.
  7. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the throttle body heater inlet hose.
  2. Connect the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp to the throttle body.
  3. Install the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp to the throttle body.
  4. Connect the throttle boy heater inlet hose to the water crossover.
  5. Install the throttle body heater inlet hose to the water crossover.
  6. Fill the cooling system with engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  7. Install the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
  8. Inspect the system for leaks.
