The mass air flow (MAF) sensor on this engine is attached to the throttle body assembly.

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.

  3. Object Number: 15006  Size: MH
  4. Remove the screws holding the MAF sensor to the throttle body.
  5. Remove the MAF sensor from the throttle body.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 15006  Size: MH
  1. Carefully position the MAF sensor to the throttle body.
  2. Install the screws that retain the MAF sensor to the throttle body.
  3. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
