The power steering pressure line is grounding out.

Inspect the power steering pressure line. Verify that the following conditions exist:

The rack bearing preload is adjusted improperly.

Adjust the rack bearing preload to proper specification. Refer to Steering Gear Rack Bearing Preload Adjustment - Off Vehicle .

The power steering gear is loose.

Tighten the power steering gear to specification. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement .

The tie rod ends are loose.

Replace the tie rods ends. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement .

The intermediate steering shaft universal joints are loose.

1. Service the intermediate steering shaft universal joints as needed. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel Column.
2. Replace the intermediate steering shaft universal joints as needed. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
