  1. Make sure that the transaxle gear selector is in PARK.
  2. Press the rear compartment lid release button located in the I/P.

Does the rear compartment lid unlatch?

  1. Program a known good keyless entry transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming for more information.
  2. Using known good transmitter, attempt to unlatch the rear compartment lid.

Does the rear compartment lid unlatch?

  1. Replace the faulty transmitter.
  2. Program keyless entry transmitter(s). Refer to Transmitter Programming for more information.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR).
  2. Connect briefly a 10A fused jumper between the RCDLR harness connector H and ground.

Did the rear compartment lid unlatch?

  1. Replace the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). Refer to Receiver Replacement for more information.
  2. After RCDLR replacement, program keyless entry transmitter(s). Refer to Transmitter Programming for more information.

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 253 between the RCDLR harness connector terminal H and the rear compartment lid release relay harness connector terminal C2.
