Removal Procedure

    Important: The sunroof is equipped with 2-piece sunroof shades. Service the sunroof sunshade as a complete set that includes the following items:

       • The front sunshade
       • The rear sunshade

  1. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement
  2. Move the sunshade to the closed position.
  3. Move the front sunshade back 10 mm (4 in). This will provide clearance for a tab in the removal of the rear sunshade.

  4. Object Number: 548083  Size: SH
  5. Push the REAR sunshade to one side.
  6. Carefully bend the sunshade upward in order to allow the opposite side of the sunshade to lift out of the sunshade channel.
  7. Remove the rear sunshade from the sunroof module.

  8. Object Number: 548076  Size: SH
  9. Move the front sunshade rearward but stop just before the rear edge reaches the sunroof module crossbrace.
  10. Push the front sunshade to one side.
  11. Carefully bend the sunshade upward in order to allow the opposite side of the sunshade to lift out of the sunshade channel.
  12. Remove the front sunshade from the sunroof module.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the sunshade to the sunroof module.
  2. Insert one side of the FRONT sunshade into the sunshade channel.
  3. Carefully bend the center of the sunshade upward in order to allow the opposite side to drop into the sunshade channel.

  4. Object Number: 548079  Size: SH
  5. Position the front sunshade in the middle of the opening. At this position the rear sunshade will overlap it approximately 10 mm (4 in).

  6. Object Number: 548083  Size: SH
  7. Insert one side of the REAR sunshade into the sunshade channel. Note: the stops go toward the front of the sunroof.
  8. Carefully bend the center of the sunshade upward in order to allow the opposite side to drop into the sunshade channel.
  9. Slide the sunshade backward and forward to check for smooth operation.
  10. Install the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement
