Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 289623  Size: SH
  1. Loosen the air cleaner intake duct (3) clamp (2) on the throttle body side of the air cleaner intake duct.
  2. Loosen the air cleaner intake duct on the air cleaner (4) side of the air cleaner intake duct.
  3. Remove the air cleaner intake duct from air cleaner and rotate duct upwards.
  4. Remove the air cleaner intake duct from the throttle body (1) by pulling upwards and outward.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 289623  Size: SH
  1. Install the air cleaner intake duct (3) on to throttle body (1).
  2. Rotate the air cleaner intake duct down and install the air cleaner intake duct onto the MAF sensor.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the two air cleaner intake duct clamps to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
