Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Disconnect the electrical connector the temperature sensor that is located on the front radiator air baffle.
- Remove the temperature sensor from the radiator air baffle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the temperature sensor to the radiator air baffle.
- Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
- Drive the vehicle at a speed of 32 km/h (20 mph) for approximately one and a half minutes or at a speed of 72 km/h (45 mph) for approximately one minute in order to obtain the ambient update.
Verify the electrical connection at the right hand rail near the shock tower base.
