Removal Procedure
- Clean the area around
the fuel pressure connection with GM X-30A, or equivalent.
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to
Fuel Pressure Relief
.
- Remove the fuel pressure connection valve (2) using a standard
valve core removal and installation tool.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fuel pressure
connection valve assembly (2) using a standard valve core removal and
installation tool.
- Install the cap (1) on the fuel pressure connection valve
.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in
Engine Electrical.
- Perform the following procedure to inspect for fuel leaks:
| 4.1. | Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds. |
| 4.2. | Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds. |
| 4.3. | Turn the ignition switch ON. |
| 4.4. | Check for fuel leaks. |
