Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 233864  Size: SH
  3. Remove the oil pump pipe and screen nut (2) from the main bearing stud.
  4. Remove the bolt (4) from the oil pump.
  5. Remove the oil pump pipe and screen (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 233864  Size: SH
  1. Make sure the new O-ring seal on the tube end is in place.
  2. Press the tube end into the oil pump.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the bolt (4) into the oil pump.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Place the tab on the stud end main bearing bolt.
  7. Install the nut (2) on the stud.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
