Removal Procedure
- Remove the oil pan. Refer to
Oil Pan Replacement
.
- Remove the filter. Refer to
Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Seal Replacement
.
- Remove the accumulator attaching bolts (131).
- Remove the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts (103).
- Remove the accumulator (132).
- Remove the manual 2-1 band servo cover (104).
- Remove the manual 2-1 band servo (106-116).
- Remove the manual 2-1 band servo cover gasket (105) from the case.
- To disassemble, inspect and service the accumulator and manual 2-1 band servo, refer to Transmission/Transaxle/Transfer Case Unit Repair Manual.
Installation Procedure
- Install the manual 2-1 band servo (106-116).
- Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover gasket (105) into the case.
- Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover (104).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts (103).
Tighten
Tighten the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts (103) to 24 N·m (17 lb ft).
- Install the accumulator (132).
- Install the accumulator attaching bolts (131).
Tighten
Tighten the accumulator attaching bolts (131) to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
- If removed, install a new filter seal.
- Install the filter. Refer to
Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Seal Replacement
.
- Install the oil pan. Refer to
Oil Pan Replacement
.
Important: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.
Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will
need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.
