The power steering pressure line is grounding out.

Inspect the power steering pressure line. Verify that the following conditions exist:

The rack bearing preload is adjusted improperly.

Adjust the rack bearing preload to proper specification. Refer to Steering Gear Rack Bearing Preload Adjustment - Off Vehicle .

The power steering gear is loose.

Tighten the power steering gear to specification. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement .

The tie rod ends are loose.

Replace the tie rods ends. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement .

The intermediate steering shaft universal joints are loose.

1. Service the intermediate steering shaft universal joints as needed. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement .
2. Replace the intermediate steering shaft universal joints as needed. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement .
