A detent or canceling spring is broken or missing.

1. Inspect the springs.
2. Replace the components as needed. Refer to the following procedures:

•	Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Assemble - Off Vehicle

Foreign material or loose parts are obstructing the yoke movement.

1. Clean the components.
2. Inspect the components.
3. Replace the components as needed. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

The switch is not centered inside the column.

1. Inspect the switch for correct installation.
2. Replace the components as needed. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

Replace the switch if none of the above problems exist. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .
