J 34611-A Valve Core Remover/Installer

Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

  2. Object Number: 369052  Size: SH
  3. Remove the service port valve cap.
  4. Remove the left front diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.

  5. Object Number: 369066  Size: SH
  6. Remove the service port valve core using J 34611-A .

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 369066  Size: SH

    Important: Lubricate the service port valve core O-ring with 525 refrigerant oil.

  1. Install the service port valve core using J 34611-A .

  2. Object Number: 369052  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Tighten the service port valve core.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the service port valve core to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  5. Install the service port valve cap.
  6. Install the left front diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
  7. Evacuate and charge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  8. Leak test the filling(s) of the repaired or reinstalled component using J 39400 .
