Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  2. Remove the front bumper energy absorber. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 181812  Size: SH
  4. Remove the wiring harness from the rear of the front bumper impact bar.
  5. Remove the fog lamps. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  6. Remove the horn assembly. Refer to Horn Replacement in Horns.

  7. Object Number: 181784  Size: SH
  8. Remove the front bumper impact bar to body bolts.

  9. Object Number: 365003  Size: SH
  10. Remove the front bumper impact bar from the body.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 365003  Size: SH
  1. Install the front bumper impact bar to the body.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the front bumper impact bar to body bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the wiring harness to rear of the front bumper impact bar.
  6. Install the horn assembly. Refer to Horn Replacement in Horns.
  7. Install the fog lamps. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  8. Install the front bumper energy absorber. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement .
  9. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
