1. Turn the ignition switch on, with the engine off.
2. Set the heated switch to HI.
3. Verify operation of the heated seat.

Does the heated seat operate?

Go to Step 2

Go to Symptoms

1. Ignition switch on, engine off.
2. Heated switch set to HI.
3. Remove heated switch assembly from IP, leave harness connector in place.
4. Probe the HI indicator lamp control circuit with a DMM that is connected to ground.

Is there voltage at the HI indicator control circuit?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Test the HI indicator output control circuit for an open or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and repair the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Replace the heated seat switch.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 6

Replace the heater control module.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
