Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 156011  Size: SH
  1. Remove the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement/Programming .

  2. Object Number: 14973  Size: SH
  3. (VIN K Only) Remove the EVAP canister vent valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Vent Valve Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 156015  Size: SH
  5. Remove the PCM bracket attaching hardware.
  6. Remove the PCM bracket.

  7. Object Number: 28142  Size: SH
  8. Remove the EVAP canister vent valve bracket.
  9. Remove the fuel vapor hose to the EVAP canister.
  10. Remove the purge hose to the EVAP canister.
  11. Remove the vent hose the EVAP canister.
  12. Remove the EVAP canister from vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 28142  Size: SH
  1. Install the EVAP canister to the vehicle.
  2. Connect the EVAP vent hose and tighten the hose clamp.
  3. Connect the purge hose to the EVAP canister.
  4. Connect fuel vapor hose to the EVAP canister.
  5. Connect the vent hose the EVAP canister. Make sure the connections are correct.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the vent valve bracket.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the PCM bracket.
  10. Install the EVAP canister vent valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Vent Valve Replacement .

  11. Object Number: 156011  Size: SH
  12. Install the two PCM bracket bolts and the two PCM bracket retainers.
  13. Install the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement/Programming .
