Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 327321 Size: SH
  1. Perform the following steps in order to swing down the IP compartment:
    2. 1.1. Pull the IP compartment rearward.
    1.2. Disengage the swing stops.
  2. Disconnect the vacuum harness connector (3) from the solenoid (1).
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the solenoid (1).
  4. Remove the screws (4) from the solenoid (1).
  5. Remove the solenoid (1) from the heater and A/C module (5).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the solenoid (1) to the heater and A/C module (5).

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the screws (4) to the solenoid (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the solenoid (1).
  4. Connect the vacuum harness connector (3) to the solenoid (1).
  5. Push forward on the IP compartment in order to install the IP compartment.
