Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the seat back to the rear shelf trim.Slide the belts through
the slots. Refer to
Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior
Trim.
- Remove the lap belt retractors and the anchor bolts.
- Remove the shoulder and lap belt retractors from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the tab on the shoulder retractor with the hole in the shelf
panel. Place the shoulder belt retractor on the shelf panel and install the
anchor bolt.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Tighten the anchor
bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
- Position the lap belt on the floor so the tabs on the bottom of
the retractor are on each side of the bump on the floor pan. The bump is forward
of the anchor hole. Make sure the webbing is not twisted.
- Install the anchor bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
- Install the rear window trim slide belts into the slots. Refer
to
Rear Window Reveal Molding Replacement
in Stationary Windows.
- Install the rear seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
