Verify that both of the
following conditions
exist:
| • | You have performed one of the following actions on either the
odometer or the instrument cluster: |
| • | The odometer does not register the same mileage as before you
removed the odometer. |
If both of the conditions exist, perform the following actions:
| • | Set the replacement odometer to 0. |
| • | Attach an odometer/mileage label to the left front door frame. |
Include the following information on the label (1):
| • | The signature of an authorized agent |
Retain a copy in compliance with the retention requirements specified
in the Guidelines for General Motors Odometer Policy.
Installation Procedure
Use the following procedure in order to install the label (1):
- Clean the area around the left front door frame where you will
attach the label (1).
- Ensure that the label area is clean, and free from plastisol or
any other foreign material that may affect adhesion of the label.
- Remove the backing from the label (1).
- Attach the label (1) to the left front door frame (2).
