Removal Procedure
Notice: The retainer clip must be fully disengaged before the switch plate is
removed. Otherwise, damage to the switch plate could result.
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the negative battery cable.
- Use a flat-bladed tool in order to release the clip at the front
of the switch plate.
- Remove the switch plate from the trim panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Use a flat-bladed tool in order to release the retainers that
fasten the switch.
- Remove the switch.
Installation Procedure
- Align the
switch.
- Press the switch into the switch plate.
- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Align the switch plate to the trim panel.
- Push downward on the switch plate in order to fasten the switch
plate to the trim panel.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
