- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Connect a fused jumper from the memory seat/mirror module diagnostic
connector to ground.
| • | The connector may be taped up into the body harness. |
| • | The memory seat/mirror module will beep once in order to acknowledge
entrance into the mode 1 diagnostics. |
- Remove the ground from the memory seat/mirror module diagnostic
connector, then ground the connector again within 5 seconds.
| • | The module will beep twice in order to acknowledge entrance into
the mode 2 diagnostics. |

- Operate the seat switch in the front up/down directions. (The
module will beep once for an open or short circuit to a position sensor or
any position sensor discontinuity.)
- Any time a switch is operated and the module beeps, the module
senses a problem with the position sensor.
