Caution: Do not drain the fuel into an open container. Never store the fuel in an open container due to the possibility of a fire or an explosion.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in engine electrical.
2. Loosen the fuel tank fill cap.
3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in general information.
4. Loosen the fuel filler pipe connecting hose clamp at the fuel tank.
5. Use a hand operated fuel pump device in order to drain the fuel through the fuel tank filler pipe.
