Disassembly Procedure
- Remove the wheel cylinder. Refer to
Wheel Cylinder Replacement
- Remove the following components
from the wheel cylinder (1).
- Inspect the wheel cylinder bore and the pistons. REPLACE the wheel
cylinder if the wheel cylinder bore or the pistons exhibit any of the following
conditions:
- Use ONLY a crocus cloth in order to remove the corrosion. REPLACE
the wheel cylinder if you are unable to remove all of the corrosion.
- Clean all of the wheel cylinder parts in clean denatured alcohol.
- Dry all of the wheel cylinder parts with nonlubricated compressed
air.
Assembly Procedure
- Lubricate the NEW piston
seals (2) with clean brake fluid.
- Install the bleeder valve (6).
Tighten
Tighten the bleeder valve (6) to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
- Install the spring (5).
- Install the seals (2), pistons (3) and NEW dust boots (4).
- Install the wheel cylinder. Refer to
