Removal Procedure
- Mark the position of rear
wiper blade on the rear window with tape or an erasable marker.
- Remove the rear wiper arm nut cap.
- Remove the rear wiper arm nut.
- Using the J 39822
, remove the rear wiper arm.
- Remove the rear wiper blade from the rear wiper arm. Refer to
Rear Window Wiper Blade Replacement
.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear wiper
blade onto the rear wiper arm. Refer to
Rear Window Wiper Blade Replacement
.
- Position the rear wiper arm onto the wiper motor while aligning
the rear wiper blade to the mark made on the rear window.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the rear wiper arm nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).
- Install the rear wiper arm nut cap.
- Remove the tape or the mark from the rear window.
- Inspect the rear wiper system for proper operation.
