Subject: | Seat Turns In before Being Fully Retracted |
Models: | . |
When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
Customer may comment that the seat tries to turn into its home position prior to being all the way retracted into the van. Applicable on vans equipped with RPA AQW Sit-N-Lift seat system.
If the upper limit switch operation is compromised by debris, the roller shade cover contacting the switch or the switch bracket being bent this may cause the seat to think it is fully retracted when it is not. Please remove the debris or adjust the shade so it does not make contact with the switch. If the switch itself is damaged, a new one can be ordered through GMSPO (upper limit switch 88963160). For further instructions and diagnostic help, refer to bulletin 04-08-50-002A.
