Engine flare experienced during turns may be eliminated by installing a new filter.

Transaxle Models:

All THM 440-T4 models built before April 6, 1987 (Julian Date 096).

Date of Production Change: (Figure 1) ------------------------- The filter with a new inlet and baffle design is used in production starting April 6, 1987 (Julian Date 096).

Service Action:

Check for proper fluid level and correct as necessary. If the flare still occurs, remove the bottom pan and replace the filter and seal with a new filter and seal package listed below in service parts information.
