LO X will be displayed after HI X has been momentarily displayed.

LO X denotes the condition has changed.

TESTS FOR IMPROPER DISPLAYS

BI06 displays LO O with LH and/or RH door handle lifted, but LO X does not appear.

1. Disconnect suspect door handle switch connector and connect a fused jumper wire from connector terminal 'B' to 'A'.

o If display reads LO O go to Step 2.

o If display reads HI X or LO X, replace door handle switch.

2. Ground terminal 'A' of the suspect door handle switch connector with the fused jumper.

o If display reads LO O, go to Step 3.

o If display reads HI X or LO X, repair open in BLK/WHT (803) wire.

3. Connect terminal '1C13' of Body Computer Module (BCM) to ground with a fused jumper.

o If display reads LO O check terminal contact. Replace the Body Computer Module (BCM) if terminal contact is good.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
