LO X is displayed with LH and RH door handles released.
HI X is displayed momentarily with LH and/or RH door handles lifted, then reverts to LO X.
LO X will be displayed after HI X has been momentarily displayed.
LO X denotes the condition has changed.
BI06 displays LO O with LH and/or RH door handle lifted, but LO X does not appear.
1. Disconnect suspect door handle switch connector and connect a fused jumper wire from connector terminal 'B' to 'A'.
o If display reads LO O go to Step 2.
o If display reads HI X or LO X, replace door handle switch.
2. Ground terminal 'A' of the suspect door handle switch connector with the fused jumper.
o If display reads LO O, go to Step 3.
o If display reads HI X or LO X, repair open in BLK/WHT (803) wire.
3. Connect terminal '1C13' of Body Computer Module (BCM) to ground with a fused jumper.
o If display reads LO O check terminal contact. Replace the Body Computer Module (BCM) if terminal contact is good.
o If display reads HI X or LO X, repair GRY (157) wire for an open.
BI06 displays HI X with LH and/or RH door handle released.
1. Disconnect LH door handle switch connector.
o If display reads HI X, go to Step 2.
o If display reads LO X, replace the LH door handle switch.
2. Disconnect RH door handle switch connector.
o If display reads HI X, go to Step 3.
o If display reads LO X, replace the RH door handle switch.
3. Disconnect keyless entry module connector.
o If display reads HI X, go to Step 4.
o If display reads LO X, replace keyless entry module.
4. Disconnect the Body Computer Module (BCM). Connect an ohmmeter to terminal '1C13' of the BCM connector and ground.
o If continuity is measured, check/repair GRY (157) wire for a short to ground.
o If infinite resistance is measured, check for clean connection. If connection is good, replace Body Computer Module (BCM).
