Intake Manifold Runner Control Solenoid Replacement for Opel Antara 2007

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Disconnect the intake manifold tuning control (IMTC) solenoid valve connector.



3. Remove the upper intake manifold assembly. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement .
4. Remove the three bolts, attaching the IMTC solenoid valve to the upper intake manifold.
5. Remove the IMTC solenoid valve from the upper intake manifold by first twisting the solenoid valve to release it, and then pulling the solenoid valve away from the manifold.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.





Important: Ensure the IMTC solenoid valve is fully seated before tightening the attaching bolt to the specified torque.

1. Install the IMTC solenoid valve to the upper intake manifold.

Tighten
Tighten the intake manifold tuning control solenoid valve attaching bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

2. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement .
3. Connect the IMTC solenoid valve connector.
4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
