Tools Required

J 33027-A Clutch Hub Holding Tool

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
2. Recover the refrgerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
3. Remove the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
4. Use J 33027-A to prevent the clutch drive assembly from turning.
5. Remove the bolt from the clutch drive assembly.



6. Pull and remove the clutch drive assembly from the compressor.

1. Install the clutch drive assembly to the compressor.




Important: If air gap is not correct, change the shim to meet the air gap.

2. Check the air gap with the wire gauge by pressing the clutch drive assembly before tightening the clutch drive bolt. Air Gap: 0.3-0.6 mm

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




3. Install the clutch drive bolt to the clutch drive assembly.

Tighten
Tighten the clutch drive bolt to 13.5 N·m (10 lb ft).




4. Recheck the air gap with feeler gauge. Air Gap: 0.3-0.6 mm
5. Install the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
