Hood Ajar Indicator Switch Replacement C100/Long Body

Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the hood safety switch.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the hood safety switch.

1. Connect the electrical connector to the hood safety switch.
2. Install the hood safety switch.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.

Hood Ajar Indicator Switch Replacement C105/Short Body

Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the bolts and the hood latch.



3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the hood safety switch.
4. Remove the hood safety switch from the hood latch.

1. Install the hood safety switch to the hood latch.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the hood safety switch.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




3. Install the hood latch and bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (7 lb ft).
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
