Removal Procedure
  1. Partially open the folding top.
  2. Remove the rear weatherstrip. Refer to Folding Top Side Rear Weatherstrip Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear weatherstrip retainer. Refer to Folding Top Side Rear Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement .
  4. Remove the folding top rear locating pin. Refer to Folding Top Rear Locating Pin Replacement .

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1859931 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the side rail (1) link socket and transfer the ball stud to the new part. Position the ball stud to the rearmost position in the slot.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the ball stud to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  6. Detach the cable grommet (1) from the rear rail bracket.

  7. Remove the cable roller screw (1).

    8. Object Number: 1859948 Size: SH
  8. Remove the front upper screw (1) from the number 1 bow assembly.

    9. Object Number: 1859915 Size: SH
  9. Remove the rear rail (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1859915 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear rail (1).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1859948 Size: SH
  2. Install the front upper screw (1) to the number 1 bow assembly.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Attach the cable grommet (1) to the rear rail bracket.

    4. Object Number: 1859928 Size: SH
  4. Install the cable roller (1) screw.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 3 N·m (26 lb in).


    Object Number: 1859931 Size: SH
  5. Connect the side rail (1) link socket.
  6. Install the folding top rear locating pin. Refer to Folding Top Rear Locating Pin Replacement .
  7. Install the rear weatherstrip retainer. Refer to Folding Top Side Rear Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement .
  8. Install the rear weatherstrip. Refer to Folding Top Side Rear Weatherstrip Replacement .
