Some customers may comment that when driving the vehicle at low speed with high electrical loads, the charging system light will be illuminated on the instrument cluster with an MIL. The concern is typically hard to duplicate. DTC P0626 may or may not be present.
DTC P0626: Generator F-Terminal Circuit High Voltage
This condition may be caused by high electrical load and low engine speeds.
If routine diagnostics using SI does not reveal any obvious cause for the concern, DO NOT replace the generator. To correct this condition, reprogram the ECM.
