The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions, a SES light may be experienced due to internal ECM DTCs P0603 and/or P0604. This concern may be the result of low system voltage.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the SI diagnostics lead to ECM replacement, test the battery and charging system and check the battery cable connections before replacing the ECM.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
