Pop Noise From All Speakers Every (2-4) Minutes - keywords band button popping setup speaker radio

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A customer might experience a pop noise coming from all speakers about every 2-4 minutes, when the radio is being used. This condition is caused by the radio not being setup completely during the assembly process.

This concern can be resolved by following the procedure below:

1. Turn the key on and make sure the radio is turned on.
2. Press the band button (lower left corner) and cycle through all the bands (FM, AM, XM) two times.
3. Turn key off for 30 seconds (make sure rap is disabled) and turn key/radio back on.

Retest radio for proper operation.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
