2008 Opel GT
2008 Daewoo G2x

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

A software concern has been identified that could cause some Body Control Module (BCM) functions to become inoperative after a BCM replacement for a different reason.

Chevrolet HHR (Panel Van) Only:

The rear panel/cargo doors become inoperative "electronically" from the dash switches and the key fobs. The doors will still open from the manual inside door handles. The Air Conditioning also becomes inoperative.

Chevrolet HHR (NON-Panel), Daewoo G2x, Opel GT, and Saturn Sky

The Air Conditioning becomes inoperative.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If a BCM has recently been replaced for another concern and now the vehicle shows any of the above concerns, it will be necessary to call Techline Support center for a VCI number at 1-800-828-6860.

Note: This concern is scheduled to be fixed in the next Tech-2 release scheduled for the end of February 2008. (28.002)

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
