The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
On rare occasions, an intermittent SES light may be experienced due to a false P0335 DTC. If this PI applies, no engine performance concerns will be encountered.
An updated ECM calibration was available in TIS2Web from January 2008 to March 2008 to address this concern but it was removed from TIS2Web on April 1, 2008 due to some potential concerns with the calibration. The title of the calibration was "New software with diagnostic enhancements for DTC P0335".
If a P0335 is verified, perform the SI diagnostics and repair as necessary. If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for the DTC, no repairs should be attempted because the DTC is most likely a result of an ECM calibration concern as mentioned above. The concerns with the updated calibration are currently under investigation so the updated calibration is not available in TIS2Web. Once this investigation is complete, the revised calibration will be available in TIS2Web again and this PI will be updated with more information.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
