DTC Descriptor
DTC P0219: Engine Overspeed ConditionCircuit/System Description
This DTC is used to indicate that the engine speed exceeded the fuel cutoff limit in gear. This DTC may set if the transmission is placed in a low gear while driving down a steep grade or traveling at a high speed.
Conditions for Running the DTC
| • | The DTC is valid for manual transmissions only. |
| • | The engine is running. |
| • | Ignition voltage is between 10-18 volts. |
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The ECM detects the engine speed is greater than 7,000 RPM for greater than 1 second.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
DTC P0219 is a Type A DTC.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
DTC P0219 is a Type A DTC.
