Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
2. Remove the charge cooler inlet hose. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Hose Replacement.
3. Remove the charge cooler outlet hose. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Hose Replacement.
4. Detach coolant hoses from charge cooler outlet pipe.

Charge Cooler Outlet Pipe Fasteners (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

Release the charge cooler upper outlet pipe from the throttle body.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Charge Cooler Bracket Fastener

Procedure

Release the charge cooler upper outlet pipe from the engine.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Charge Cooler Lower Pipe

Charge Cooler Inlet Pipe Fastener

Procedure

1. Release the charge cooler inlet pipe from the turbocharger.
2. Replace gasket.

Tighten
22 N·m (16 lb ft)
