    Note: 

       • Do not stroke/cycle the stationary hydraulic lash adjuster plunger without oil in the lower pressure chamber.
       • Do not allow the stationary hydraulic lash adjuster to tip over, plunger down, after the oil fill.

  1. Fill the stationary valve lifters with clean engine oil. Take precautions to prevent scratching the pivot sphere area (1) of the valve lifters. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the recommended oil.
  2. Lubricate the valve lifters bores in the cylinder head with clean engine oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the recommended oil.

    3. Object Number: 946248 Size: SH
  3. Install the valve lifters in the cylinder head.
  4. Apply a liberal amount of lubricant of engine oil to the valve lifters pivot spheres. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the recommended oil.
