  1. Ensure that the timing chain idler sprocket bank 2 (2) is being installed. The recessed hub (4) and the smaller sprocket of the timing chain idler sprocket bank 1 is installed outward. The raised hub and the larger sprocket of the timing chain idler sprocket bank 1 is installed towards the block.

  2. Install the timing chain idler sprocket (2).

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the timing chain idler sprocket bolt (1) and tighten to  58 N·m (43 lb ft).
