For 1990-2009 cars only
- Lubricate all oil pump parts with engine oil.
- Install the inner gear (2) into the outer gear (3).
- Install the gears together into the front cover (4) with the hub of the center gear facing the front cover.
- Install the oil pump gerotor cover (1) and bolts. Tighten the oil pump gerotor bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Install the pressure relief valve plunger (3).
- Install the pressure relief valve spring (2).
- Install the pressure relief valve plug (1) and tighten to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).
Note: If gears are improperly installed in the front cover, the gerotor cover will not bolt on.
