1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Move fuel and brake linings aside to gain access to the thermal expansion valve (TXV).

Procedure

Use new sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement.

Preliminary Procedure

Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the A/C Evaporator hose from the thermal expansion valve (TXV) and cap the hose.
2. Remove and discard the sealing washers. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement.

A/C Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve

Procedure

Remove and discard the sealing washers. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement.

2. Remove the turbocharger heat shield: Refer to Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement.

AC Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) Heat and Brake Pipe Shield Fastener (Qty: 2)

Procedure

Remove the A/C TXV heat and brake pipe shield from the thermal expansion valve.

Procedures

1. Remove the A/C Evaporator hose from the thermal expansion valve (TXV) and cap the hose.
2. Remove and discard sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement

Procedure

Remove and discard sealing washers. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement.

Preliminary Procedures

2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
3. Remove the heater inlet hose from the heater core tube. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement.
4. Remove the heater outlet hose from the heater core tube. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement.
