Generator Replacement LBW/A28NET

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the secondary air injection inlet pipe. Refer to Secondary Air Injection Pump Replacement.
  2. Remove the charge air cooler outlet hose. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Hose Replacement.
  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  4. Remove the drive belt from the pulley belt idler. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  5. Remove the front bumper fascia center support bracket. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Center Support Bracket Replacement.
  6. Remove the radiator upper bracket. Refer to Radiator Replacement.

Generator Pulley Belt Idler Fastener

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
15 N·m (11 lb ft)

Generator Wiring Harness Connector

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Remove the wiring harness fastener.

Tighten
35 N·m (25 lb ft)

  1. Remove the charge air cooler outlet duct bracket.
  2. Remove the engine oil cooler hose from engine oil cooler pipe.

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Tighten
15 N·m (11 lb ft)

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Tighten

    • M6 - 8 N·m (71 lb in)
    • M8 - 15 N·m (11 lb ft)
