Preliminary Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  3. 3. For all wheel drive, remove the propeller shaft, refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement.
  4. Disconnect the stabilizer links from the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement.
  5. Support the rear of the frame assembly, using a suitable jack stand.
  6. Release the bolt to the rear transmission mount. Refer to LINK.
  7. Remove the rear fasteners for the frame to body bolts. Refer to Frame Replacement.
  8. Lower the rear part of the frame, maximum 50 mm in order to gain clearance to the stabilizer and lift it out.

Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Fastener (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

Install NEW bolts.

Tighten
22 N·m(16 lb ft) + 30 degrees + 15 degrees

Tip
Install the insulator so that the slit in the insulator is facing the rear of the vehicle.
