For 1990-2009 cars only
- Clean the heat exchanger-to-oil filter housing sealing surfaces.
- Install a NEW gasket.
- Install the heat exchanger (1) to the oil filter housing.
- Install the 6 bolts (2) and tighten to XXXN·m (XXX lb in).
- Clean the oil filter housing-to-thermostat housing sealing surfaces.
- Install 2 NEW gaskets.
- Install the oil filter housing and the 5 oil filter housing bolts (2) and tighten to 25N·m (19 lb ft).
- Install the thermostat housing coolant pipe (1) to the oil filter housing.
- Install the 2 thermostat housing coolant pipe bolts and tighten to 8N·m (71 lb in).
