The following service procedures require either a programming or a setup event performed for a complete repair.

TCM Replacement

If the transmission control module (TCM) is replaced, the control module programming procedure must be performed. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS).

TCM Reprogramming

Do not reprogram the headlamp control module unless directed by a service procedure or a service bulletin.

If the TCM needs to be reprogrammed, refer to Service Programming System (SPS).

Setup for Component Replacement

The replacement of following components will require to reset learned values and N position calibration, refer to Transmission Adaptive Functions.

    • Automatic transmission
    • Control valve body

The replacement of following components will require N position calibration, refer to Transmission Adaptive Functions.

    • Transmission control replacement
    • Range selector lever
